Blackboard Tutorials for students can be found by:

Clicking Help, next to the question mark at the top of your screen above the tabs (the Help in the course menu is a manual, which, if you choose, you can search there also)
Looking on the left for "Course Delivery" and expanding it by clicking on the "+" square
Expanding the Students link the same way
Choosing the topic you need information on and clicking on it.

Blackboard Assignments? Confused? Here's How:

Click on the Assignment Name Review the assignment instructions and note the due date
Click on "Assignment Files" if you see a file listed
Do not open the file, SAVE it to your computer or a portable drive.
Complete the assignment and save the file in Office 97-2003 file format.
Name the file as requested by your instructor
Follow instructions as to whether you can type the assignment in the submission area or must attach a file.
If you must attach a file, make sure it is in .doc or .rtf format and Browse for the file to attach it.
Add any comments and click Submit to hand it in, click OK
To see any Submission History, click on the Assignment Name

File Naming Conventions for Blackboard : If you are uploading files to Blackboard or attaching files to a Blackboard Discussion Board post, please remember the following file naming conventions:

Use ONLY letters, numbers and underscores (_) in filenames.
Do include extensions. The valid extension for a Word document is .doc, PowerPoint is .ppt and Excel is .xls.
Do NOT use periods (except before an extension), spaces, commas, #'s, question marks, equal signs, dashes, etc.

Windows Vista and Office 2007 - Blackboard Compatibility Before posting you files to Blackboard SAVE AS in Word, PowerPoint or Excel 97-2003 format. Your instructor and fellow students may not be able to read Office 2007 files
