Welcome to BUS 225A Microeconomics

Hello everyone and welcome to Microeconomics,

I am your instructor and it is my pleasure to get to know all of you. I have been in your shoes. I can tell you that with discipline, and a sense of routine, before you know it, you will have successfully completed this course and moved on to even bigger challenges ahead. Remember, if you become confused at any point as to what is required of you, just ask - either myself or your fellow students. You may email me anytime via my school email.

Perhaps, like many of you, I have many interests. Someone once called me ‘dangerous' and I took that as the greatest of compliments because he (my mentor) told me I seemed to be good at many different things which would scare my collogues. My professional career spans the corporate and academic worlds ranging from Business Owner, Executive, Treasurer, Chef, Marketer, Consultant, and Professor. During 2004 through 2011, I attended Rivier College (College back then, but now a University) for my undergrad (BSBA) and graduate degree (MBA). I also attended Newbury College for Culinary Arts and Becker College for Nutrition in the 90's. It is with great pleasure and my honor that I come to Rivier University to teach. Rivier is a school that I always regarded as a top school and definitely the best esthetically with one of the nicest campuses ever seen.

As you may have already known, there are many reasons why students choose to earn a degree and continue to go to school. Regardless of what your reason may be, what is great about Rivier is that you have control over what you learn, such that you may better tailor your education to suit your individual passions and aspirations. But, please keep in mind this requires a high degree of self-discipline and personal responsibility on your part.

In this course, you will have weekly assignments. These will be outlined on the course schedule and will be made available on Canvas. In order to get the most from this course, the best advice I can give you is:

Get to know your fellow students
Pay close attention to course objectives, requirements, and deadlines (Your course Syllabus is your friend)
If in doubt, please do not hesitate to ask
